Immerse into the local life of Agra and savour a slice of heritage with an active bout of cycling. Accompany your expert trip leader and avid cyclist along a trail through the historic city of the Taj. Along the way, you will sample fascinating bytes of culture and soak in centuries of impressive legacy. Pedalling through the streets of the city and its suburbs, you will become a part and parcel of everyday activities, in stark contrast to being an outsider traversing the regular tourist circuit.
Your unique expedition starts near the Taj Mahal and takes you to the Dusshera Ghat of River Yamuna for an enchanting view of the mausoleum across the river. From here, you will continue to the rural suburbs of the city, to dip into the daily life of locals. Witness the charms of seeing people go about their daily chores, feed animals and watch children play outdoor games.
You will ride along busy streets, navigate your way through thriving markets and dodge traffic while cycling through Agra. Photography enthusiasts will encounter ample distractions at every step, so it is a good idea to carry a camera and capture the essence of the local buzz through candid shots.
There will be a scheduled stop for tea and cookies at a local tea stall, where you can take the opportunity to chat to your guide about popular customs and favourite haunts. You will also visit a primary village school to interact with children, venture into a vegetable market and pass by historical sites, while your tour expert provides interesting tidbits for your curious mind.

Thank you for a wonderful trip to Kerala. We loved the village life walk and Fort Cochin walk. The backwater cruise in a traditional country boat was an incredible experience. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and was exceptionally well taken care of. The cooking class in Jaipur was extremely enjoyable. The food, chef, and his wife were all exceptional and made for a lovely evening. Also, our expectations were definitely exceeded at a private residence, spending time with the elephants and lunching. Thanks for organising a great trip to Lucknow and Varanasi. The hotels at both the places were excellent; we had a great guide in Varanasi who went beyond the designated tour route and showed us around. The food tour in Lucknow was amazing and re-discovering the Awadhi Cuisine was a great experience – the kebabs were out of the world!
It was a terrific experience to spot the King of the jungle in all their glory at Gir. We had a very good experience overall.
